Effective Date: 1st September 2021
Last Updated: November, 2025
Cimple Limited (“Cimple”, “we”, “our”) recognises that environmental responsibility is fundamental to sustainable business. We are committed to operating in an environmentally responsible manner, reducing our carbon footprint, and embedding sustainability across our operations, supply chain, and services.
Our Environmental Policy forms part of our Integrated Management System (IMS) and aligns with ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System principles and the Environment Act 2021.
Environmental performance is reviewed quarterly at leadership level and updated annually as part of our sustainability reporting.
This policy applies to all business operations, employees, contractors, suppliers, and partners working with or on behalf of Cimple. It covers:
Energy use and carbon emissions
Waste reduction and recycling
Resource efficiency
Sustainable procurement
Remote and digital working practices
Supply chain environmental performance
Cimple aims to:
Comply with and exceed all relevant environmental laws and regulations.
Continually monitor and improve our environmental performance.
Integrate environmental considerations into business and procurement decisions.
Reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in line with our Carbon Reduction Plan.
Increase environmental awareness, training, and accountability across all staff.
Use of Resources
We minimise the use of physical materials by prioritising digital tools and cloud-based systems.
We use recycled and recyclable materials wherever possible and reduce paper consumption through “digital-first” working practices.
Before purchasing new equipment, we assess environmental impact and consider leasing, reusing, or refurbishing options.
Environmental impact assessments are documented annually in our Identification and Evaluation Register.
Virtual Working
Our remote-first model reduces commuting and office-related emissions.
Employees are encouraged to:
Switch off devices when not in use.
Print only when essential and use recycled materials.
Maintain digital hygiene through file and data reduction practices.
Follow our Tidy Desktop and Clear Desk policies.
Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
We conduct quarterly performance reviews and annual environmental audits to assess impact and progress.
Results and actions are recorded in the Environmental Objectives Register.
The leadership team reviews progress toward sustainability goals and updates action plans accordingly.
Cimple is committed to understanding and reducing its carbon footprint across Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions. We conduct an annual Carbon Reduction Review and Plan, focusing on measurable outcomes in:
Business travel (air, rail, road)
Office and data hosting energy use
Supplier-related emissions
Our ambition is to achieve Net Positive impact, going beyond carbon neutrality. We embed carbon awareness into everyday decision-making and measure performance using dedicated dashboards.
Drive Action: Carbon reduction targets are built into annual business objectives.
Empowerment: All employees receive sustainability training and are encouraged to suggest environmental improvements.
Transparency: We publish progress updates and share key data with clients and stakeholders.
Collaboration: We engage suppliers and partners to align with our sustainability goals.
Education: We provide ongoing learning to help our people and stakeholders make environmentally responsible choices.
Cimple actively seeks to work with environmentally responsible suppliers and partners.
Our approach includes:
Selecting carbon-neutral or low-emission suppliers where and when needed.
Consolidating deliveries and reducing travel-related emissions.
Favouring refurbished or sustainably sourced technology.
Encouraging suppliers to adopt ISO 14001 or similar standards.
Employees are provided with environmental awareness training at induction and through regular refreshers.
We encourage staff to act as “Carbon Champions” within their teams to promote good practice and local initiatives.
Feedback from staff helps identify new sustainability opportunities.
This policy is reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect legal, regulatory, or organisational changes. It is made publicly available via our website and shared with employees, clients, and partners.
This Environmental Sustainability Policy is endorsed by Cimple’s senior management and reflects our commitment to building a resilient, low-carbon, and responsible organisation that positively contributes to people, planet, and prosperity.
